Frequently Asked Questions

Cost

How much will treatment cost?

Each 3-month plan is designed to feel effortless, with transparent pricing, home delivery, and clinical support throughout your care.

A video consultation with one of our registered doctors to assess your suitability is AUD $55.

If prescription treatment is clinically appropriate, the one-off cost is AUD $280 to AUD $530 for 3 months, which includes:

  • 50 g customised treatment cream (sufficient for once-daily use for 3 months), prepared to your doctor’s specifications using carefully selected, evidence-based ingredients
You may be able to address multiple concerns in one cream. In some cases, two formulations may be recommended. Your doctor will discuss options with you during your consultation.
  • Your personalised Skin Plan, with educational guidance and supporting skincare recommendations
  • Australia Post Express delivery
  • Ongoing clinical support via email or video throughout your treatment cycle
  • A dermatology nurse video consult to answer your questions and refine your routine
  • Access to the Qr8 Support Hub, including patient resources and live discussions
  • Virtual masterclasses
  • Patient-only perks, including occasional offers and gifts

Medicare and private health rebates are not currently available for this service. Depending on your level of cover, you may be able to claim the medication component through your private health fund. We can provide a receipt upon request.

Do you have Afterpay?

Yes! We offer Afterpay & Klarna as payment options for your convenience.

Is there a subscription or ongoing commitment?

We want you to feel completely in control of your treatment, which is why we’re not a subscription service. You’ll never have to worry about us taking money from your account without your permission.

Instead, you’ll be the one in charge of your payments. Every 3 months, we will remind you to book a $AUD55 video appointment with your doctor for a progress and treatment review, and your next treatment cycle starts from here.

Then we’ll take care of all the logistics for you, so you can focus on what matters most – getting the results you want.

What happens after 3 months of treatment?

Treating skin conditions can take time, even with prescription medications. That’s why your doctor will be checking in with you regularly via a video appointment every 3 months. This way, they can monitor your progress, celebrate your wins, and adjust your treatment plan as needed. But don’t worry about checking your calendar, our team will send you a reminder when it’s time to rebook with your doctor.

When you have reached your skin goals, we’re still here to help you maintain results and continue your progress. Your doctor can create a personalised formula just for you, and will discuss an annual maintenance plan with you that comes at a reduced cost.

If you’re interested in learning more about our maintenance options, please feel free to contact us by phone at (+61 7) 3325-9700, or email us at [email protected]. We’d love to hear from you!

How do I pay for my order?

After your video consult, your doctor will send you an email confirming your recommended treatment plan and cost. We want to make sure you have all the details you need to make an informed decision about your treatment.

Any treatment you are prescribed by your doctor is based on your skin condition at the time of your consult. Skin changes over time for many reasons, so to ensure you are getting the best and safest treatment for your skin, unpaid invoices expire 30 days after issue. After this time, you will need to rebook with a doctor for a skin assessment in order to proceed with a treatment. Our team are not able to extend invoices past this date for your safety.

If you are ready to move forward, simply log into your profile using the link in the email, and pay the invoice. We process all orders within 24 working hours of payment being cleared into our account.

To make the payment process as easy as possible, we accept online payments via Visa and Mastercard, and we also offer Afterpay & Klarna. You can also pay by direct debit (Australia only). The choice is yours!

If you have any questions or concerns about payment or the treatment process, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly team HERE, or phone us on (+61 7) 3325-9700 M-F, during QLD business hours.

Can I claim through Medicare?

We understand that healthcare costs can be a concern, and we want to be transparent with our pricing. Unfortunately, at this time, there is no government Medicare rebate available for our telehealth and support services.

We know that many of our patients come to Qr8 after spending time and money on treatments that just haven’t worked for them – sometimes even on prescription treatments! That’s why we believe that support is a crucial part of getting results from your treatment plan and making it as cost-effective as possible.

So, even though the support component of your treatment does not attract a Medicare rebate, we believe it’s essential to help you achieve the best possible outcome. Our team is here to provide you with personalised support and guidance every step of the way, so you can feel confident in your treatment plan and your investment in your skin health.

Can I claim through Private Health Insurance?

You may be able to claim the prescription cream component of your treatment using Extras cover on your private health insurance.

The rebate will differ depending on whether your fund covers S4 compounded pharmaceuticals, and the amount will differ by level of cover. We can  provide you with a pharmacy receipt to present to your insurer, together with your Qr8 invoice, to help you claim. If other documentation is required, an administration fee applies.

Unfortunately, neither Medicare nor private health insurers currently offer rebates for the telehealth or support components of our service. However, our support services are an essential part of your treatment plan and we’re committed to providing you with the best possible care and attention.

Is there a refund policy?

Because your treatment is customised and freshly-mixed in a pharmacy specifically for you, and all possible care taken to account for and minimise side effects, we do not offer refunds or exchanges on our treatments.

However, we understand that mistakes can happen, albeit very rarely. If your order is incorrect, faulty, or damaged, we’re happy to work with you to make it right. If something does go wrong, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.

Can I cancel my order?

Once your payment is cleared into our account, your order will be processed within 24 business hours, and you will receive a confirmation from our team.

At this point, your order automatically enters the manufacturing queue at the pharmacy, and cannot be cancelled.

Does my invoice have an expiry date?

Any treatment you are prescribed by your doctor is based on your skin condition at the time of your consult.

Skin changes over time for many reasons, so to ensure you are getting the best and safest treatment for your skin, unpaid invoices expire 30 days after issue.

After this time, you will need to rebook with a doctor for a skin assessment in order to proceed with a treatment. Our team are not able to extend invoices past this date for your safety.
